Hi all, some useful info one here. I'm looking to go to the ring mid august on the way back from a european tour in an E46 M3. Will probably stay for a few days and do the GP circuit if its open for TF and the Nurburgring itself. I race cars over here and am no stranger to track-days, but I'm dubious as to whether to go out in the m3 or hire a swift, as I'm concerned about poodling round for the first few laps before i find my feet there. Any guys that have had similar experience? Will i be ok if I'm sensible and just watch my mirrors kinda thing?

Yes take your time and keep looking in your mirrors and allow people to overtake on the left and you will be fine. Andy

Well, finished work this eve and now off until the road trip starts on Friday. Excited, although I don't mind admitting nervous. I shall be driving very gingerly I suspect!
Will need to get some passenger laps if I can!

Hi all, arrived at the ring this afternoon, its hot and sunny! Gtrs are flying around the ring this evening, being filmed by ps3 branded people, just off to get some beer / pizza  say hi if you see us typed on phone..

Its looking good guys, Sunday weather looks best with little chance of rain. Will be getting the 8am eurotunnel train on Saturday for late afternoon arrival.
