I make kitchens, in a small way at present, at my workshop to the north of Aylesbury. I have decided to move upmarket and to increase production capability. I shall also be offering hardwood home studies, and may offer bedrooms at some point. I am currently developing two new ranges of kitchens that will incorporate interesting and attractive features not normally seen elsewhere.

These new designs will be coming onto the market in September, when they will receive good exposure to the target demographic.

What I shall need is someone who has an interest in interior design to visit customers at their homes to discuss their requirements, outline the possibilities and sketch a rough design which I will then draw up in detail later. More than one visit will be necessary, and most of these visits will be to homes within 30 miles or so of Aylesbury.

This might well suit the spouse of a person in full-time employment, or perhaps someone who is in full time employment him/herself but who has some spare time available, especially evening/weekends.

No previous design experience is required, as plenty of training will be provided, but a passion for good design is a prerequisite, as is an ability to envisage the finished product in position, and convey that vision to the home owners.

Naturally the person will need to be well spoken, smartly dressed and able to quickly establish a rapport with the sort of people who can afford a bespoke kitchen.

During the training period several visits to my workshop will be necessary, so it’s unlikely this will be of any interest to anyone living some distance away.

This is a freelance thing at the moment, but there are various ways in which things could go from here…

At this stage, remuneration will be by percentage of the selling price only. The actual percentage will depend on a number of factors which can be discussed privately.
