Noodling over a 'perfect garage' I search for something V8-ish and 3 green things leapt-out at me for some reason

That just screams 'hairy chested mentalist car' - for less than a new Corsa VXR? smile
Newer wheels on older cars always manage to look impossibly st.

[quote=ManiacGT]I'm on a far more 'I could afford them but don't want to spend' wavelength presently with these two;

There is one of these that's parked on Marylebone High Street in this colour, it certainly is different. I think it works actually, esp as it's not kitted up with massive wheels, it's almost quite discreet

Not quite so good in the rain, mind

Started looking at xkr-s or 75 but nav system has put me off massively and lack of proper iphone music Bluetooth intergration and lack of radar cruise control etc etc redface(

Shame as stunning cars.

I'm considering sacking in the modern car ownership for something classic. Current obsession is an Austin Healey 3000... ooh...

Had a look at one of these this morning, its rather nice! Better than I expected and liked the attention to detail.

Shame they don't offer a 5dr Powershift version though.

I'm not a fan of this car. To me it looks like someone put a Ford Scorpio in a crusher and had a change of heart half way. I'm not a fan of the colour it looks like it belongs at an ambassador's receptions.

This colour on this car looks pretty good to me.

My neighbor has a 2.3 for sale. Hmmmmmmmmmm......

Brother & Dad have just changed vehicles recently, I have too many cars, and had a rather nasty list of imminent jobs come back on one after a recent service.

So currently considering changing everyday barge, 4 seater ragtop, 2 seater sports car for these:

Are those hand throttle controls under the steering wheel?

I think they are. Might be best avoided in that case.

My E36 328i Sport came with a fire extinguisher under the passenger seat as standard

As did my E34 540.

TVR Spider's are lovely but too big for the Griff imo. You can get AP big brakes under the standard 15" fronts with a bit of shaving so there's no way they went to 18's for brakes. Plus you need to change all the hubs to convert to 5 stud etc.

Discussing with a friend today our favourite sports coupe designs, my pick:

He said he preferred the DB9, but also liked the DB7 (almost the Jaguar F Type, and it shows).

Good spot - I hadn't seen them.

Re: the fire extinguisher, just says careful owner to me. I've got fire extinguishers in all of my cars, they are cheap and God forbid something catches fire it might make the difference between a bit of burned out wiring and a piece of burned tarmac at the side of the road!

And I absolutely love the red leather! Most e39s/Z4s seem to be in a combination of silver/grey/black with a dark leather interior which is a bit drab IMHO. Got tan in my e36 at the moment which I rather like, but red is great!

Just wondering if a cheap V8 e39 might be ruinous...
