£64k for a Boxster? You only need PDK, heated seats, parking sensors and sound pack (well I would) and that'd be about £51k. Mind you, I can't comment really as I've just bought a 991 Cab............Happy Days.

You'll be hard pressed to find a car with more universal positive feedback. Here Here - All I hear is praise from everyone - I was possibly of the biased opinion in dis favour of the boxster as previous incarnations I did not like the aesthetics of but the drive from the 987 3.4s was on the nail. However the 981 ticks all the boxes and then some according to everyone who has drove it and cosmetically wise it is an individuals eyes to comment whether they like it but that is subjective to the individual. My head was with the 991 until I drove the new 981 and still i love the 991 but only for its Iconic status and would find it hard to justify buying the 991 in favour of the 981 unless you needed the 4 seats. Please find these dissatisfied owners as they seem to be hiding from this forum and I think we are all old and wise enough to comment with the head and not just the heart.

Well I owned a Spyder and the 981 isnt disapointing me In fact I prefer it. My only wish is that I had added the PSE.

Picked the wife's Boxster S up from the Stuggart factory on Tuesday.Drove over the Swiss alps and down to the lakes in Italy.I have several performance cars, Aston V12 Vantage,Ferrari 430, 993 turbo S and I have to say how impressed I am with the Boxster. The mid engine balances the car superbly and the PDK box is a delight. The car handled better than any car I have through the mountain passes. The biggest asset is the PSE,hit the sports + and an orchestra comes alive accompanied by a team of enthusiastic drummers .The sound through the tunnels is one on the best I heard.Got the fuel consumption to 21mpg over 350 miles as I couldn't resist dropping down the gears and listening to the music! If you want to put a smile on your face make sure you opt for PSE. IMO it's what puts the icing on the cake.Only problem now is im down in Cannes and the Boxster dosent get a second look amongst the Lambos,Ferraris and Buggatis that line the streets!
