Why in God's name have the turned off the recirculating fountain on the market square? It was about
the only thing that made the town centre bearable....

Chron mentioned something about most people not realising the fact that it recycles the water,
So off it goes as a PR exercise.

Would be better to turn off the traffic lights on ST Peters way roundabout though and save electricity.

Better shut the swimming pools down, think how much water gets splashed out of them!

Really does make you wonder... Water's been pouring from a leak in Cottesbrooke main road since before Christmas now.
Sign's appeared "Anglian water aware" Joke really...

I walked past the fountain a week ago and heard 2 separate conversations complaining about the 'lose' of water. People of this calibre should be allowed in town centres for public safety lol

I quite like wondering through town on saturday days, quite a nice atmosphere and it feels good to go and support the shop owners (I'm talking independents)
Shame about the fountain but I read somewhere it was because all the other local towns and cities were responding the same way
Was all a bit silly anyway having a fountain on a slant smile (personal view)
