Anyone here attending?
Have looked at the track on youtube and it looks like good fun. Quite long too which should allow for more space between cars (or more cars on track i suppose).

I live in Sherston, 3 miles away.
Cheap petrol at the Murco just down the road too.
Enjoy!

Yes, it said on the joining documents about a local petrol station. Must remember to get it (petrol) during lunch this time! Cheers.

It has a couple of long straights - great for faster cars. My Westfield struggles to exceed about 115 due to brick-like aerodynamics, but a family member's Z4M Coupé has great fun there. Brake overheating can be a worry though. The surface is good and the organisation excellent. Abingdon suits my Westfield better with the challenging chicanes and fast corners. Horses for courses as they say...

Is the surface hard on tyres?
With mine @ £400 a corner I don't want to kill them!

D Not especially; it's common or garden tarmac, not that abrasive stuff they use at road junctions. Obviously the whole track day driving style isn't guaranteed to nurture your tyres but you'll only be doing a couple of hundred miles at the very most - probably a great deal less. unless you're doing burn-outs, drifting, or dough-nutting there's a limit to how much damage can that can be caused. I find the stress levels, although very enjoyable, mean I want a break between sessions anyway.

Was it dry? I had my only ever spin at Hullavington on a damp surface on the hairpins at the end of one of the straights. Very red-faced I was.
