Just got my tickets thru from the organisers and picked my car up from the workshop, all today .
The Z feels really strong but the only thing is i keep hearing all these rumours about Supras with 30,000squillion horsepower ,now i know what Frank Bruno felt like before he climbed into the ring with tyson.

Hey Cliffie,
Good to hear from you again. Glad you got the car back again and it's running good.
I got my tickets too and the car is almost ready to go. Had to skim the front discs and need to bleed the brakes, but otherwise we're ready.
I'm not bothered 'bout the Supras, I just want to see what the old girl will do and whether I've got the nerve to keep the pedal to the metal. I need to take some of those pills that Tristram has though.
See you at the hotel

Don't leave me out !
I picked the car up from Dan today and all is looking good so far (touch wood). Dan/Geoff have again pulled out all the stops to get the cars ready, they must have been cursing mine last week...
I am currently still on for Elvington although I will probably be taking it very gently ..
Just another 300 miles and this clutch should be OK - so please ignore me if you see me driving aimlessly around.
Unfortunately the wheels have not arrived so I am currently looking at using my old GSC's and standard brakes so it won't be as ready as I'd hoped - but if I can bed this clutch I will be there. The car feels really strong (and I have not yet been above 3K or had the power key on ! )
Just hope Nigel's will be OK - still some minor probs to be worked out apparently.
See you all there....

I'll be going along in mine to see you all but won't be competing (think I might get shown up a bit in my C5 whilst my Lingenfelter TT kit isn't fitted)
Is there an agreed place where the vettes are going to meet / park up?
Chris
ps - when I say the TT kit isn't fitted... i mean isn't ordered, paid for, understood or ever likely to happen without a serious cash injection!

We are staying in Harrogate at The Old Swan Hotel. Book it months ago.....Look Out! There goes a low flying Mitsubishi (Zero) Evo it looks like he is swinging round to get on your tail! Given him a shot of both rear barrels VP!......sorry, just the Pearl Harbour thing got the imagination going
We are going up Saturday to Elvington to setup camp and also to get the cars scrutineered, saves the rush on Sunday morning. We will probably be there from about 3 p.m. onwards if any of you Viper crowd want to meet up.

Good to hear you guys are chomping at the bit,i was only jesting about the Supras and my aim is to just better what my car did last year.
Ive been busy myself fitting the rear lexan hatch, getting the suspension "set up",fitting new springs and bushes, and have also found a company local to cut me some lexan side glass, all i need now is some channelled alli to hold the side glass in shape and a couple of leather belts to use use to pull the lexan up(so watch yer trousers on saturday night lads).
Look forward to seeing you all sat night at the hotel.

1 Supra which has run a proven 9, and 201mph in the 1.25 mile. 1 or 2 other big power Supras but I'd rather see the Vettes and Vipers give the Evos, Skylines, Supras a hard time round the track and do well on the 1/4 (for those that are all round) and improve on last year's times and of course N GTS beat the Evos to the embarrasment of the male Evo drivers.
