Hi, yes it's another MX5, well Eunos hehe

I've had the car just over 6 months and thought It was time to get it in readers cars. Over the time I've owned it I've done a few things to it but I think it's one of those cars that will never be finished.
It took me about 18 months to find a nice example with minimum rust and low mileage. I must have looked at 10-15 before finding it, UK cars and imports travelling all over then I found this one and it was only about 20 miles from my house.

This is how I bought it...

The first thing I did was the exhaust manifold, it had a de-cat and SS back section.

It went from this...

Wrapping the manifold...

To this...

Then I removed the front number plate and replaced with a stick on one(which has now gone) also a badge change....

Then the big and I think most important part, sorting out the minor rust it had and rust proofing the underside. I won't go into it too much just a few pics...

I've always preferred the no spoiler look, so I got rid if this...

And replaced with another one that I found off Fleabay and happen to be off a PHer (Matlee wavey ) as well as bonnet...

Then to compliment the exhaust I picked this up, it's fr a MK2 but with a little modding I got it to fit...

So that's about it for now. I have a full set of fully refurbished original wheels to go on but they need rubber and I just picked up another set of seats as my drivers has gone in the usual places. smile

Just a few more pics.

Thanks for looking, sorry about all the pics. smile

Any comments, suggestions welcome, good or bad. hehe

ETA... I thought I'd add a pic with a smilie on. biggrin

Just out of interest, what minor bodging was needed to get the filter fitted? Looks like a good job was done!

Hi, yes the roof is lovely. As I said it took me a while to find the one I wanted. The person that had it before me really looked after it and spent a lot on it. It has been garaged all the time it's been over here, I guess that's why there's so little rust.

Hey fella smile

It didn't take much really, there's a chrome breather pipe on the the rocker cover that needs shortening and then a thicker breather pipe on the left of the engine that needs to be extended. Also you need to hammer yikes one of the cross braces on the underside of the bonnet to allow it up close.

A bit more detail here...

Just a little update, had a look at changing the seats today. Got them out but someone has cut the connector block off for the speakers in the drivers seat and replaced with bullet connectors. rage anywho I'll have to get some connectors to get it to work.

Here's a pic of the old and new. That's the drivers seat on left which is the worst one....

Small update, something I've been meaning to do for a while. Change rocker cover gasket and cam sensor O ring. They weren't leaking but I've heard it can be s problem.
While I was there I thought I'd make the rocker cover a bit prettier.

Cover off and a bit mucky.

Steamed all the crap off and primed.

Painted the same colour as the car.

I'll put some more pics when it's all fitted.

I sometimes think back to my MX5 and miss it's charm. Not for long though, although looking at yours reminds me (mine was the same colour).

Yes, eventually I want to box the cone filter in and get a naca(sp) duct headlight cover. It should get nice clean cold air then. smile
