its a load of bks that it was found in a barn covered in dust and feathers though....

this was the garage it was 'stored' in for years, note the lack of a roof.....

and when it was recovered, note lack of engine and box......

it looks like its had a load of work to make it more presentable, no shame in that, but its not the perfect 'barn find' that the sellers claim it is.

its restored, at one point it had a fabric sunroof fitted, thats gone now.

i think its just been 'looked after' but for a while it was just kept running rather than 100% 1959 authentic.

i think they have started to try and rectify that now, as it does look a lor better than it used to

What do you expect from a story in the daily mail.

Surprised they didn't find it was the only Mini made in 1958!

So £40k to buy it, probably another £30k to restore it to 'as original' condition. Then someone will have a real piece of motoring history.

Some idiot was bent over and take to brown town.

Apart from the burgendy and blue two tone arden eight port mini this guy built, this is two fifths of the price.

A couple of weeks ago I saw another "preproduction" 1959 mini on ebay. It sold for 3k.

Although theese cars certainly have special prices. Market tells if it is willing to pay that much for this one.
