Is anyone else coming along to this - I'm going to be there in my Boxster - I was booked on the February date that got cancelled due to snow...

If anyone else is there, would be good to say hi...

I'll be there too, for my first ever track day, in a Silver 330Ci. If I spot you I'll say hello.

I'll be there too. Black 968.
I've done a couple of 20 minute taster sessions at Brands but that's all.
Really looking forward to it but it's gonna be wet...

A top day. Some great driving and what was I thinking regarding dry weather... The rain brought huge fun with it. Roll on the next track day.

What a great fun day - and good to meet a few of you guys! I really enjoyed pushing the car, and the contrast between wet and dry was very interesting! It was good to have had a pair of sessions of instruction - the first one really hit the basics, and I felt like my confidence had increased a lot after the second.

I thought that everyone was driving very well, and overtaking sensibly - I didn't feel pressured at any stage or have to be sitting watching the mirrors to get clear of faster stuff! Apologies for the guy in the other silver boxster though for giving you a scary moment when I ran out of talent in front of you!

I really felt for the guys in the red Elise - it seemed to be causing you some serious grief - I hope you managed to at least get a few decent laps in!

Agreed. A great day and the dry morning / wet afternoon thing made for great fun. Although I think I'd like to try a full dry day too. Great set up there and great value I thought.

Good to meet you all, hope to see you again. I'm off to order some new discs and pads!

I was the in the '80's blue 911 - What a great day! I actually thought it turned out better being so wet, really got to explore the cars handling.
Great setup in Bedford for those conditions.

What a great day - the black cooper s handled alright; and good to see a few other minis out on the track. The whole day was very enjoyable; destroyed another set of pads (lasted 3 track days - mintex fast road; hopefully not done too much damage to the disks or anything else as was "graunching" (good tech term) all the way home. No track days next month (going to upgrade the car with a few sensible mods - hopefully with 1320). Then Wittering and Mallory in June.

Yes, I really enjoyed the whole day. I agree that the 'game of two halves' with a dry morning and wet afternoon was perfect. The instruction session was certainly worthwhile for me and gave me confidence to push on a bit harder afterwards. I cheated and left the electronics on in the wet but as I only bought the car a few days earlier I thought I'd get to know it before switching stuff off - next time!

Good to meet up with you all and hope to see you on a future track day somewhere as I'll certainly be doing it again.

P.S. on the first trip out, when we were all learning the track, I followed Masher 964 and Probably Chalk for a lap until the former pulled into the pits and then the black 968 spun at Bank (a somewhat distant shot but still visible). Let me know if you have any interest in seeing the clip.

Umm, some confusion I think. I was the black 968! So yes please to seeing the clip.

I remembered who was who, I probably just worded my sentence badly! I have uploaded the 3 minute clip to Youtube at:

http://youtu.be/c6BA7BAJZoo

I haven't put it on general release just because of the dire warnings in the contract we signed about having to make £25k premiums to MSV if we broadcast any material we filmed on the internet (even though I can't imagine for they mean it). Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll derestrict it.

By default it plays at 480p so you'll need to up it to 720p and go full screen to see Probably Chalk in the minute before the spin. Even at this definition a little quality has been lost in the upload but it's OK. We were all snaking around together on our first laps so it isn't spectacular footage but may be of curiosity to those featured.

I'll stick another couple of bits on in due course.

Doesn't seem to be working Daniel. Just comes up as being a private video.
