Fantastic, I thought, and a bit more to it than the Spider.
I was working in Liverpool while the Spider was in town. Drove up early one morning not knowing about it and saw this giant spider hanging off the side of a building

You could say I was surprised.

It's funded by Liverpool City Council and the national lottery, unless you live in Liverpool or own a business that has premises in Liverpool, you wont be paying a penny towards it.

If you were trying to be funny or clever, you should try harder wink

Why is that think-tank a charity? I'm not up on the niceties of these things, but how does it come under that banner?

True Story.
Some Paper said:
It has cost around £1.5m to put on Sea Odyssey, paid for by a mix of public and private funding.

Around £400,000 represents Liverpool’s last tranche of Capital of Culture legacy funding, with a third of the total sum coming from public bodies, including Arts Council England and Merseytravel, and a similar figure from the private sector, including outsourcing firm Enterprise.

Along with War Horse, and the Walking with Dinosaurs puppets, it's a bit like 'Being John Malkovich' with an uptake in puppetry!
