Bit of history about me. Passed my test in 06, got a nice Srad gixxer, sold it, Got a beautiful 2005 R1 ( Got stolen 2 years ago now ) and then got my my now GSXR 1000 K7, bone stock in 2008.

Spent a while tarting it up. Spending a few hundred every month out of my wages and eventually built this.

BUT, after finally finishing the project, and fitting the carbon BST's you can see..... it happened...

First ride out on the new wheels.... first wheely, up in 1st........... Flipped it.

got her home on a truck and dumped it in the garage, Less than a week later I had a knock on the door.

I call it a knock, It was 8 police dressed in riot gear actually caving my door in with a "Universal key"

I was at work and got the call from the wife, unbeknown as to why they did it they collected me from work. Once home I was duly arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

I'd been stupid, like a lot of people do, I made videos of me riding my bike, on my own, and with mates, But the police traced them and raided my house for evidence, they took my bike ( In bits, lots of bits ), took my leathers, helmets, gloves, PC, Laptop, Memory cards, Hard drives, Gopro's, Spy cameras etc.

I ended up in a cell, stting bricks as you would, sitting there wondering if they were going through my PC watching more videos. 8 hours later I got to see my duty solicitor and she showed me the videos they were using as evidence frown It showed 150mph wheelies, wheelies into oncoming traffic, speeding, racing and every other law you could break on a bike. I felt sick, I felt an idiot, I was about to lose my job, my house, my bike, and missus.

She persuaded me to go guilty, there was no getting out of it, evidence against me was 2nd to none, from the gopro catching my face as I put the helmet on, to me looking down at the bars and them matching the gloves/leathers to the ones they had as evidence.

A few weeks passed, I got a phonecall from a mate, He had his house raided too because of the evidence on MY videos. How much more worse could it get frownfrown

a few month passed, I fell into depression, admittedly I cried, I drank, drank some more. Mostly I felt guilty for what I'd done to a mate, his wife, his kids, his job. and then I got a call from the inspector of Cheshire police asking me to go see him.

he sat me down, and I expected the worse, He told me he'd now seen all video's and was certainly expecting a prison sentence. He then said he'd sent the case of to CPS. They had said.......

Due to me having a full time job, clean licence, full time job, never been on the dole, settled down with mortgage, no criminal record. They said it wasn't in the publics interest to prosecute me as it was a one off.

I could have cried there and then, I thanked him and apologised, I left the station gathering my evidence from the locker when my mate rang.... he'd been released to with no charge!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I learned my lesson, BIG TIME!

recovered my bike from the pound, and this is how it was collected, post crash.

REBUILD TIME!

and most importantly... the BST frown

First Job was to dump everything that was broken..

There are more parts but not in the photo.

First job, Give the tank to a mate to give to a mate
£50 later and he arrives back with this.

Very well moulded where the carbon tank cover goes, can't see the dent.
New rearsets, then took them into work to be powdercoated, Price = A cup of coffee.

Small parcel of goodness courtesy of Barry @ GBmoto.

Another few parcels, Original white panels cost a fortune frown And yes.... i did have to get a genuine carbon tax disc holder smile

Slowly being pieced together....

This is the last Photoshoot I had, but... The bikes changed again lol

Like I said though.... This change, New Racefit growler, and a full Bazazz system, Including Traction Control, Quickshifter, and fuel Management, Bar switch to change TC sensitivity and fuel maps. Ohlins damper with 916 fitting kit. and a tonne load more mods lol

You'll now see it like this

This is from this years wooton basset run, and yes it was allowed, the police were actually applauding, and this pic was taken from the Sky News Website

I'm sure word got around the majority of bike forums about me, possibly this one too, Please don't be an idiot and do what I did, you may think you're the next Ghostrider, but don't go bragging to the world about it, don't make youtube videos and post them around global forums like me, If you want to ride like a loon then do so at your own risk, but DON'T post the evidence online! You make it far far far too easy for the police.

What a nightmare! Obviously not enough fraudsters, uninsured vehicles, illegals, burglars, rapists or murderers around your way.

Welcome!

Ello mate smile

I was after the S1000rr, But it was the QS, TC that was swaying me towards it, but after buying the Bazazz I'm more than happy with my bike now, shed loads more confident when pushing it.

'You make it far far far too easy for the police.' shows you really have learned nothing. 150mph wheelies, and wheelies into oncoming traffic, and you still think you were had? unbelievable.

Nah, can't be, chav's have tiny number plates hidden somewhere silly underneath the bike hehe

If you were reformed you'd be running a legal plate, you are just asking for a pull, again.

There's a lot of work gone into your bike, its not my cup of tea but I can appreciate the effort you have put into it.

Welcome to the forum smile

What a story!

I'm sure my brother told me about that, welcome mate I bet the relief you felt when you were told what the CPS said was untrue, its nice to hear they really thought about what would happen to you if prison did occur.

By the way bike looks lovely.

Craig the Coupe seems a bit moody!

Scary st, and stunning bike..
After to many close ones with the law and the lord ive quit the road, the track is far more fun and a lot less dangerous, and for what you spent on the gixxer you could have an amazing track bike.
BUT if we was all the same itd be boring eh!!!

Every single mod declared. It was a huge ball ache searching for a company that would cover a bike with %90 carbon.

Even without mods. 0 NCB. And the R1 theft I still had to pay £1400. So anything under that was a bonus.

Bloody hell. Glad you got lucky, that could've been a disaster.

There's so many videos on in YouTube etc though, I guess your riding was particularly mental to get caught? Sounds it.

Will definitely think twice before sticking stuff on the net.
