Obviously there are other possibilities, just trying to catch the general view.

Draggin jeans and leather jacket, or textiles, for nipping out to my mates, going to work or the shop.( Except for the BB run to Hartside while I was waiting for my new leathers). Going for a properly fast ride, leathers every time.

I bought leathers in January, but have only used them two or three times. far too cold. Textiles are better. They make me ride like a cock too.

My leathers shrank one winter some years back and I've never bothered getting another set. Textiles all year and draggin's with motorcross knee armour underneith (don't trust the stuff that sticks in the draggins to be anywhere near my knees in a crash).

I accept that leathers are likely to be better in a crash (as I understand it they'll slide better whereas textile are grippier and can cause you to roll) but the textiles are a lot more practical.

The caveat to me getting my license was that would always wear leathers - so I do. I've come to enjoy the "power ranger" look.. ahem. Either way, it's worth the inconvenience.

My textiles are much more comfy, but i dont not feel as safe in them.

Id rather wear them though, sometimes feel like a bit of a tool in an alpinestars one-piece with virgin knee sliders.

But safety before image i suppose!

Got some Leather pants at weekend and won't ever go back to textile pants. They fit so much better.

Leathers normally, textiles if it's damn cold. Occasionally when not planning to ride hard I might wear jeans in the summer.

Riding all year round I tend to work through the following:

Textiles in the winter / bad weather
leather jacket / textile trousers in the summer for commuting
one piece gimp suit (leather not plastic) for having fun
