Holy Shcensoredit, was watching part 1 of Redhill over the top of my laptop last night (the Mrs loves it!) and....yikes

The final scene with a prison guard sodomising a guy with a wooden pole in a toilet cubicle until the whole room was a blood spattered mess and the guy was very dead! Ok, so you didnt see it in all its graphic detail but...blimey it was pretty hard core! Just about to watch part two...joy of joys.

I watched the Chelsea vs Barca game so she gets to see Silent Witness, I cant complain!

I've noticed that Silent Witness has become grittier, with more graphic views of crime scenes and postmoterms, etc. than the earlier seasons. I actually prefer the new approach.

Funnily enough I've been thinking that they've been getting less graphic. The Mrs pointed out that they were discreetly covering the naughty bits during the PMs, I said I thought they were probably trying to sell it to the US

Bit like watching an inventory in a comedy joke shop of entrails and limbs! Gritty? Really?

Only on some of the people....some were still left visible...I guess it is down to how comfortable the actor is with bearing all.

Daily Mail today reports 500 complaints.
It's acting - pretending.
Do the complainers not get this or are they worried about 'the public'?

So 'pretending' to have anal sex with an 8 year old is ok is it? Pretending to burn the Qur'an is ok too? Just because something is pretend it doesnt make it ok at a time in the evening when most kids over 12 are still up. And dont get me started on parenting and not letting your kids watch it etc. Personally, no, I wouldn't let my 12 year old daughter watch it because she is in bed, however, unfortunately, that is not the case in most UK households . Silent witness should be on an hour later IMO.

I think it may well be pretend...but sadly I think the hard cold reality is this sort of stuff happens.

Certainly not. If you get the chance then you should do the job properly.
