I decided that I fancied getting a cheaper car that I could have fun with. After much time researching, this is my new toy! A 1995 Toyota MR2 Mk2 Rev 3 NA GTI-16. Only done 200 miles in it so far (after collecting it yesterday), but absolutely love it!

Has 104k on the clock, with FSH, 4 new tyres and a new clutch. Also MOT until August (no advisories on last) and tax until Feb 2013. In brilliant condition inside - literally looks new, and good outside also with just the odd stonechip etc. Got an absolute bargain as far as I am concerned - £1,100!

Paul smile

Nice one... Hope you enjoy it!

It's a GTi-16, not a GT

Thats some kind of anniversary edition I think, they did them in blue or silver with the grey wheels, there's a silver one locally. Lovely car - hope you enjoy it.

Nice, I'd like to drive one in proper road trim like yours as a comparison to my joint track car (Mk2 Rev2) which is completely gutted, caged etc .....

Wow looks as mint as mine when I got it (Now sat outside on space saver and numerous scrapes accross the front bumper after an incident with a hedge.)

Best colour too!

They are fine in the rain. What tyres have you got on it? As long as they are decent, you will have no issue, (and you don't drive like Captain Mcfkwittery).

Nice car, I've got one exactly the same smile

My engine went pop 2 months into ownership, really regret not giving it a good service when I first bought it (dunno if it would have made any difference though).

Enjoy!!!

Sweet! Now get some decent rubber under it, preferably something in stock size and remember to keep the same recommended staggered setup. Mid engine cars need super good tires.

My Rev4 is insured as a GT T-Bar (I just gave them my reg), Parkers says GT T-Bar http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/facts-and-fi... . Even when I ordered parts from Toyota they called it a GT T-Bar.

They probably call it a GT as the JDM cars were GT and GTS.

Are you basing that on the colour? If so then it could also be one of 2 different mates' old cars :P

Yeah I have read a lot about them spinning as quick as look at them on some forums, but treat the car with respect and like you say i'm sure it should be fine.

Have got Toyo Pro XES 195/55/R/15`s on the front, and Toyo Pro XES 225/50/T/15s on the rear.

I must say at slightly higher speeds it does feel quite light on the front end, which I assume for a mid engined car is probably quite normal. Just a different feeling to normal smile
