My daughter had one, although she's now moved onto a Z3

My wife has a soft top one on a 06 plate, they are amazing fun to drive around town, very economical, and on one occasion I even did a service call to Southampton (from Worcester) in it.

Definately a town car, which is what it was designed for.

Just keep an eye on the oil level, they are meant to use some, and only hold about two and a half litres when full !

The only other problem we've had was the abs rings on the rear of my daughters, everyone (garages) said that they couldn't be changed, and you'd need new driveshafts @ £750 each, but I'd seen the rings for sale on fleabay, at £6.50 each, and it cost £150 to have a machanic fit them.

Some possibly useful sites for you, Good luck

A guy i used to work with had a Brabus Smart with tinted windows

he used to take it on long journey and being a bit of a tit arse used to bring a sleeping bag and sleep in the back of it.

was a bit of a running joke in the office

thanks.
the abs needs checking and will keep a eye on the oil.

it is just something to go to work every now and then and for my wife to use when she needs.

I am quite small but even so i have to ask... how?
i cant see the logistics of sleeping on a fortwo.

he got into the sleeping bag and claimed in and slept seated, he was around 5,7 so how he managed to get comfortable is beyond me

he also used the passenger footwell as a bin, digusting

There is actually, you'd be surprised at how much it can carry ...... I was.

My wife can do a monthly shop for us (family of five), without an issue.

I wouldn't however suggest using it as a tent !

My one major complaint is the height of the drivers seat, it is too high, and due to the construction cannot be lowered.

Easily 50 plus around town, but no more out of town, on the two we've had.

I drove an all options ticked, turbo one(quite rare as I understand) from London to Cork. Felt like an occasion everytime i drove it. People looked at me like i was an absolute tit(they wouldn't be too wrong), but i still enjoyed it. The three cyclinders do sound half alright, especially at full chat.

All Smarts have a turbo.
