hi jables 350z I will keep an eye out for you whilst queuing for the ferry at Dover unless you see me first, White Litchfield Impreza. What is your preferred route to the Ring ? After trying different routes the Lille to Liege option has proved the quickest despite being slightly longer it misses the dreaded Brussels ring road. Despite this i will go along with a majority vote and tag along on your chosen route.

I'll be there for the Nürburgring, didn't book Spa though.
Thinking about heading out early on Saturday morning aiming to arrive sometime in the afternoon. Going to take it easy on Sunday, probably watch a bit of TF and just generally look around.
Need to book a hotel soon and the ferry/euro-tunnel, Bit awkward trying to do everything from a ship though!
I'd be up for convoying with a couple of people on the way, It'll just be me and a passenger.
EDIT: Decided to book everything before it's too late.
Eurotunnel out at 10:50 Saturday - Staying at the Hotel Am Tiergarten (sat, sun, mon) then back home Tuesday, can't wait now!

I seem to end up taking a different route each time. Touch wood I've never had many problems around Brussels but I have heard plenty of horror stories. We came back via Antwerpen last time which was surprisingly quick. I suspect we'll try via Lille this time. Once we get to Liege we'll head up to Aachen so we can drop down into Koblenz, but you can easily turn off towards Nurburg on the way.

I may very well do.. need to get the finances sorted first.. Was planning an Alps hoon with a couple of mates, but couldnt get enough people to commit when it came to booking.. therefore the alps trip might not happen.. So this might be an ideal substitute trip !!

Great stuff chaps. It looks like there is a good old bunch heading over for these events. Good to start the thread to get a feel for who is going and get excited about it.
I am planning to head out on Saturday morning possibly with one other car. If anyone else is heading out alone or just as a couple of cars then maybe we could club together and get a little convoy going.
My preferred method of crossing the water will be the eurotunnel...
James.

Booked this a while back. Taking the Newcastle-Amsterdam ferry on the Saturday, arriving at the Ring around midday on Sunday 7th. Staying at Gastehaus PitLane in Nurburg, as we've done in the past, for two nights then off to Spa on the Tuesday, staying at a B&B about 10km from the circuit for another two nights. Then up to Zandvoort on Thursday (apartment booked) and taking the ferry back on Friday night. Likely to do a lap or two of the Ring on Sunday (would be rude not to ), Monday with Destination Nurburgring, Wednesday at Spa with Circuit Days, still working on something for Zandvoort Plan just now is to take the S60R, but that may change. Edit: There's a track day at Zandvoort on the Friday - http://www.vrijrijden.nl/programma-2012 - 25€ for 20 minutes sounds like good value. Fine end to the week

I've just booked for Spa on the Tuesday and will spectate at the ring on Monday. All looked booked up but Gold Track still has spaces though it's £50 more. I'll be in my Exige S so will look to travel down with a few others if possible!
