I'm always on the lookout for new ways to personalise and modify my TVR to give it that uniqueness among TVRs. I do not however like add-ons such as rear spoilers which are a bit too Max-Power and spoil the classic lines of all TVRs (IMHO).

However things like anthracite alloys, and the many offerings from Zertec and Leven Technology go a long way to enhancing the cars.

Just wondered what extremes (good and bad) anyone has taken their TVR to in order to make it stand out among the TVR crowd.

It may not be unique, but a Pistonheads sticker is always a good start

There was a Griff with lowered suspension in Sprint a few months ago

Let me get this straight
Add-on spoilers are Max Power, but if TVR supply the spoiler then that's OK ?

The built in spoilers from TVR on the likes of the Tamora and Tuscan S are fine (and quite effective) as these were part of the original factory designs (I assume). It's spoilers such as the ones you see bolted to the boot of a Cerbera that I have a problem with.

Ahem.... I have a 390 with 'original' under-bumper wing and 'aftermarket but factory issue' boot wing, and I have to confess to pondering whether, given the dubious aerodynamic advantage of the boot wing, the alloy one from an Audi 80 may actually be a more aesthetically pleasing device.... nononono, what am I saying... I need some self-adhesive carbon fibre for my dash and a fake aircraft filler.... ;-)

Off to buy a copy of Max Tits....

Nacnud,

Apologies, just realised you have a 450 (my eardrums have burst) SEAC. I think the rear spoilers complement the classic wedge shape. It's just as I mentioned above when some people whack on great big surfboards on the back of their curvy shaped chimaeras, griffiths, cerberas etc that (IMO) just 'spoils' the car.

Your treading a fine line... One mans tasteful personalisation is another mans bolt on tat!! That means you are a little restricted with what you can do.

As you have said you are probably looking at people like Clive at Zertec or Simon at Leven.

If you do decide to go out of the established suppliers I'd recommend only doing stuff that you can put back to original should you come to sell. Like maybe clear front and side indicators etc..

Just my opinion.....

Cheers Dan
