Hey guys thought i might as well put up a thread about my car, now keep in mind that im a student so modifications will be slow but they will surely come and ill post my car as it evolves with everything i do, oh and also guys im not the most technical person about cars so just keep that in mind if i say anything wrong or stupid My car is only the 1 litre version so i decided that right now there isnt much point doing anything to the engine as its only a wee baby engine! and so basically every mod ive done is just for the looks. One of the first things i did was put in a subwoofer of course! main reason why i got this was because i went to the slam tent at Titp enough said > After getting a bit bored of the standard alloys that i had on my car i started looking up for aftermarket ones , after 2 hours of looking i had already decided which alloys i wanted! Momo Corse alloys Brand : Momo Model : Corse Width : 7.5J, Diameter : 17 Inch Bolt Pattern : 4x114.3 Offset : 35 Colour : Black , Polished Style : Polished Lip , Twin 7 Spoke and here they are on the car : I had a huge problem trying to fit these beasts on as even though the website that i had bought them from said it would fit, they actually didnt!!! the back of the alloy was scraping into the break calipers, i phoned up the company that i bought them off and they phoned momo about it and they were even surprised themselves so basically i was the guinea pig .... for my troubles though they sent out free spacers so i could fit them on , the first pair that came were too small and the back of the alloys still scrapped so they then sent off another pair of spacers this time thankfully they fitted without scraping! My next idea for my car was then to change the front grille. there were the Irmscher types but they were a crazy price so i decided to go for the cheapy unknown black grille: This was a scary experience sawing away the original grille! was pretty pleased with the results! The next small project was tinting the windows after about 5 attempts i was only able to get the back two side windows done the very back window was basically impossible because of how much it curved (might of also been because i bought cheap tinters...): The lights were next! after about £90 worth of blue fake bulbs i decided to buy new head lights because i wasnt happy with the way the lights looked so i bought myself some crazy set of headlights that basically had every style of light u could think of ! : oh also added a wee cheeky sticker and yes i know its immature but its just for a laugh : Right got the coil overs put on a couple of days ago got some pics up here but none that are good quality right now. Tell me what u think guys also can give me some constructive criticism. Right here are some better pictures of the car:

Subwoofer is fine I suppose... But the wheels look s t too big for the car would need lowering and then it would still look s t just stick some SXI wheels on it or something. The front lights wtf are they just ruin the car completely ruin it and makes you look like a little chavvy boy racer. Oh and the sticker wtf is that did you seriously think that was a good idea? Just stick some OEM SXI wheels on maybe a 30mm drop and leave the grille and if you really want get the windows tinted properly as they always look s t when you do it yourself and then just leave it until you can afford to insure a faster car. Honestly don't waste money making what was a fairly nice albeit slow hatchback into a chavvy piece of s t. Oh but the priority is the removal of the sticker Stick around though is a good website just trying to be cruel to be kind and put you off spending loads on the car as you will just look back one day otherwise and think wtf have I done...

Honestly mate just stop spending the money and wait till you can insure something quicker plus with all the costs these modifications will add to your insurance plus the cost of the parts you could have probably brought and insured a corsa vxr for similar...

You did ask for honesty, so I'm afraid I have to oblige: 1) The wheels look a bit rubbish 2) The tints make it look like a van 3) The lights.....well, the less said the better. "They're utter s te" should just about cover it though. 4) The grille looks a bit naff; why have you gone to all that trouble with it? 5) The subwoofer - OK, I can understand the standard system is probably lacking in bottom-end oomph, but a smaller sub would probably still deliver the bottom end whilst sounding more musical. 6) The sticker would be funny - if I were 12 and had the mentality of Jay from The Inbetweeners Don't waste any more money on it. You'll need to return it pretty much to standard in order to make it saleable in future and you won't get anything meaningful back from the modifications you've made - you're pissing money away. Save it all up, go on holiday or something. Or put it in a pot so that when you come to buy a better car, you already have £500-1000 toward the insurance etc. You're wasting your time trying to make a boggo Corsa D look 'indervidjewel'. Stop it. No, really. Stop. STOP.

Stop. agree with all this, cars are a money pit already, at the end of the day it's a 1.0 Corsa, nobody wants to buy a Corsa thats been butchered, so i'd sat drive it as it is and keep the original parts to put back when flogging then get a proper car knowing you've saved money on advice from fellow PHers
