Thought this evening had been made a good'un by seeing a Chinook heading west over the M40 towards High Wycombe at around 6pm. Then as a bonus, M-EMLI also headed in that direction about 10 minutes later, at approximately 1m AGL...
...granted, it was rotorless and strapped to the back of a lowloader, but a sighting is a sighting ;-)

I saw a couple of Chinooks above west drayton this afternoon, I guessed it's due to the Olympic exercises??

There has been lots of different helicopter traffic over Hare Hatch all day. Chinnocks are quite regular, but one flew over around 16.00 so low, the bloody office roof flexed

I saw 3 sea kings together followed by a chinnock 5 mins later last night at around 17.30 heading towards Northolt.
