I am going through my list of service and maintenance items pre Spa. One question about spark plugs. I have Autolite plugs fitted by a previous owner and the car performs well. However they now are at 1mm+ gap and I feel they should be replaced. Any views on alternative plugs, bearing in mind I have a Halfords trade card and some vouchers to spend? Has anyone noticed a significant difference by fitting a higher performance plug?

Cheers

I was asking this question a while ago and nobody seemed to come up with any significant recommendations. I have fitted a set of Bosh Super 4 510 FR78X (£24 for 2 packs of 4 from Halfords on trade) Slightly smoother running than the old ones but then you'd expect an improvement as they are new. They should last longer having 4 earth electrodes, though I don't suppose thats realy an issue.

Thanks Rob

I will order these. Longevity should not be an issue!
