Im going to view a non turbo Mitsubishi Gto at the weekend. Can any owners give me some advice on what they are like to own & maintain.

Non turbo's imo are a joy to own...if you accept the car for what it was intended for ie a GT car. Check all electrics work, hearing it from cold is a must also. Get on your hands and knees and check the condition of the sump base, these are often jacked up on which in turn partially block the oil pick up pipe...leading to a knocking bottom end. Enquire as to when it had its 60k service done as this can add another chunk of cash onto the bill....it involves cambelt, water pump etc.
On the road it should feel quite torquey, and smooth. Gearbox will probably be quite stubborn when cold but should be quite slick when up to temp.

Oil pressure can vary a lot: typically over half way when cold, dropping to just a couple of divisions when hot and just idling. That's normal. As long as it rises with the revs and doesn't reach zero, don't panic - but do check in case it just needs topping up or changing.
It is false economy in the extreme to skimp on servicing these cars. Like many owners, mine is nearly 20 years old but always serviced regularly and the most serious problem has been an alternator failing in the nearly 8 years I've had it.
Check the tyre wear. LASER alignment is a must and typically costs less than just one tyre. They'll wear fast and expensively if any part of the alignment is out.
