I was given a parrot AR Drone for my birthday, it's fking great fun, it was bought for me as my gf hates me flying the Hubsan X4 in front of her face, so the bigger one was bought for me to venture outside.
IF you don't have one get one, plus an iPad is a lot easier to control it with, so buy one of those too!
I've just spent money on another battery & will be buying an LED light ring for underneath it so it looks like a UFO & a 'search light for it' so i can fly it in the dark & see where i'm going with the camera.
I was flying it at the weekend and the elderly neighbours thought it was a UFO until i walked out controlling it with the iPad!

I do this with my wife too its a fun game until I actually catch her face with it or get it stuck in her hair.

Did you ever try the Hubsan outside? Its actually pretty impressive, even in strong wind!

I haven't yet, i'm too busy playing with the Parrot, i have 3 batteries for the Hubsan though so it's almost continual flying capability whilst the others are charging.

That Parrot AR looks expensive for what appears to be a styrofoam quadcopter. How does it compare to the Phantom 1 which is a similar price or the Phantom 2 for a bit extra?

I had a Parrot AR drone before upgrading to a Phantom 2. The Parrot is a childs toy in comparison, the Phantom 2 is a seriously clever bit of kit. There's no way you could do this with the Parrot thingy.

I also had the Parrot drone, but it bored me after a couple of weeks and I sold it. The Phantom 2 is not even comparable to the Parrot.

You couldn't do this either with a Parrot.

I've never understood steak knives. When I cook steaks, you could use a spoon to cut them they're so tender.

If the meat I was eating was so tough it meant I had to have especially sharp knives to cut it, I wouldn't eat it.

Yes it is made out of polystyrene, the hull anyway, however when you crash it, which i have, twice, once by it running out of battery, bringing itself into land & landing half on a roof, it then flipped off onto the concrete & didn't break, i also flew it into a lamp post last night!
In all fairness i hadn't got the hand really of the Hubsan when i got this one, so it's a nice toy to have, the FPV is fun too.
Eventually i'd like to get a Phantom of some form, but i don't have the spare pennies to be able to afford an RC toy like that!

Which hubsan is the one to go for? The standard one, or one with leds, or the camera or the one with both?
