Been after one for a while, been looking at a Solowheel (they started it all) still can't decide if the price difference is justifiable, (Solowheel is 1500)

Just like a Segway but you also have to balance left to right like a bicycle obviously. The beep is a warning that you are approaching maximum speed.

The killer difference could be if it is legal to use in the UK. The Segway wasn't.

I believe the Segways issue was the lack of physical brake? Wouldn't these be open to a similar problem?

Funny that I looked in here and saw this. I have been looking around for one as well. Which model did you go for? You make it look easy, is it daily simple to get good at it ?

The EU are looking at legalising electric unicycles, in the UK they are not specifically classified yet but Whistl (TNT) are using them for courier deliveries in London and Birmingham.

I bought the Airwheel X3. It is easy to learn if you already have a good sense of balance from cycling, skiing/snowboarding etc.

Yup. I have one too. Great, isn't it! thumbup

Very much in the style of Steve Thomas but I asked him via email if it was one of his but he says it isn't, although acknowledges it's the kind of thing he would do.

Anyone else noticed how this thread definitely pops up to the front page around the more common monthly pay days [20th/28th/last working day of the month]

You guys are the reason I spend so much! wink

A drill powered water pump similar to this:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wolfcraft-2207-Super-Pump-...

Absolutely no need for it, was purely because I was chatting to my neighbour yesterday evening as he was using one to empty a small pond. My internal monologue noted that I do not have one of these items and probably should possess one to add to the collection of stuff in the shed, even though I haven't got a pond myself.

Am sure it will come in useful sometime...

yes

Pretty much add the fun things to my wishlist and then get them on my payday.

My really frivolous purchase this month has been a Honda S2000. But i have bought one of these to wear whilst driving it.
