having played this the other day, its not what I remember.


might just be I remember playing carma 2 and not 1, but its not as fast paced in the steering and general speed of things from what i remember.

i cannot remember the maps atall either, so it must have been '2' i played not the first one.


either way, its an alright game.

The game is out for early release on Steam. I'm downloading it now, so hopefully I'll spend the rest of the night playing it.

This is £12 on Steam at the moment, how close is it to being a finished game? I did vow never to buy an early access game again after being stung a couple of times but if this looks like it will be worth playing in a couple of months I may get it to leave in my library until it's finished!

Has anyone played the carmageddon reincarnation beta that was recently released it is far improved from the alpha. I'm really enjoying it.

No, the Alpha that I played was terrible(I appreciate it was an Alpha, but so laggy) and the game is huge so can't be arsed to download the update.

I have it - it's ok but I'm not keen on some of the new powerups - they should keep it oldskool!

I was unimpressed by the alpha but I've tried the recent beta and it's a big improvement, more fun, and feels like the first game.

Only thing bothering me is the lack of steering wheel support, driving cars with the keyboard when you have a wheel and pedals sat next to you just feels wrong.
I had a play with an emulator that gets the wheel and pedals working fine in GTA4 but it wasn't recognising it properly and I gave up. Hopefully they'll add support for the final release.

Saw this thread pop up and had a quick look at Steam to see what people were saying about it, and I had to scroll down a very long way to find someone with something positive to say about it
And the graphics don't look any better from the last game...

It feels like Carmageddon 2. No bad thing in my book. Runs like st on my PC though.

Runs awful on my PC as well, almost unplayable, considering how naff the graphics are I'm confused as to why its runs so badly.
