They're coming thick and fast now! Helmingham is fuly booked and Rougham is filling up fast, so here's the next one for your diaries: Lavenham Rare Breeds Motor Show, Bank Holiday Monday 30 August.

Another long-established and proven event, the Lavenham Show is a delightful country fair that takes. It's centered on Lavenham cricket ground, which each year is packed to capacity with a fantastic variety of 400+ classic cars from Model-T's onwards.

But that's only half the show; the other half is based around a show ring which sees a number of other events during the day. Many stands and stalls selling everything from roast pork to country crafts complete the event and ensure that there's something for everyone, not just petrolheads. The Lavenham Press has even invited us to join them for refreshments at the Pavilion :-)

Entry to the show is FREE for display vehicles, and all entrants will receive a commemorative plaque. However, it's so popular that it's always over-subscribed, and being a cricket ground, there's a finite limit to the number of cars that can attend.

The bad news: Bookings are closed. No-one else can now get in.
The good news: PH Roadshow has reserved a good block of places for PHers!!

This means that as well as seasoned PHers, we can also accept other people who couldn't enter via usual channels. So if you wanted to go but were told 'Sorry, full up', or simply forgot to sign up in time, this is your chance to come along and join the PH Roadshow!

However, even PH space is finite, so it's strictly first come, first served please. If you want to come, please mail me asap so I can allocate you a place.

Thank you for your support and I hope to see you on the day

If there is still space I wouldn't mind bringing a GTO 3R and my mate would bring his Exige but I'll check with him tomorrow.

His post or email me on wryka@aol.com if there is space and times meeting points etc.

Do we have any more news on this. Just got back from Hols but cannot find any extra info.

Has a convoy been arranged. If not anyone going from Clacton, Colchester way and at whot time are you leaving.

Do we know exactly where it is or will it be a case of get to Lavenham and follow the signs (or rumbles ).

Yes, you are on the list to go; you should have had an e-mail from me on 18 August with the pass attached. I'll send it again now.

No set convoy, but I'll mail you with an idea.

Crikey, just 11 days short of 10 years!

Looks like the stand is full with two reserves - but you can add your name to the list. If the weather looks a bit iffy you might well get in as some owners won't risk rain smile
