I have an early TomTom One with the original GB SD card, which has been faultless for the years that I have had it. However now when turning it on it doesn't recognise the card, it displays an animation with a red cross through the card. If I hold down the ON button, the system information display thing shows it has an SD card connected. I've tried the little reset pin thing without success, is the card FUBAR? I can connect the card to the PC through a card reader, but it just isn't connecting to the TomTom. Any help is appreciated.

Do you have another SD card? Format it, copy the TT SD card contents across and try that. If that works, the SD card is FUBAR. If it doesn't,the TomTom unit may be FUBAR. Try a reset, or connect it via TomTom Home to see if there's anything on there that might work.

If no joy then, it's time to think about a nice shiny new one.

hehe All the time I've had this, I've never even installed TomTom Home. Just doing that now to see if it can show any problems, I might have a spare SD card lying around also.

All fixed, not quite sure how though as I wasn't really paying much attention as I am at work!
