Crickey - did it get fitted with a tow hitch and electrics for that price wink
Ian, did you get my PM?
Not seen one - I didn't get one from Darren a couple of weeks back either......
Grrrrr! rage
Took me ages to write that! The shortened version is that I was inviting you to come and take the car away for a few hours or a day some time soon, to see if you like it or not, if you were still interested in taking it off my hands as and when the time comes. I am waiting in the wings for something else and there are a couple of other people sniffing around what I'm looking at, so I am going to have to slim down the fleet by a couple of cars soon to put my self in the right position for when it comes up for grabs. Doesn't really matter which two cars it is that goes! Sorry if this post offends the mods, but the PM doesn't appear to be working!
I've raise the issue of PM's not working in website feedback - they are aware already it appears.

Anyway in response to your length PM not recieved - I've publicly stated on a fair few occasions that I would be very interested in the car if and when you change so the answer to the PM would have been yes - hell yes

Ok Ian, I've got it back at the indy's for a couple of new front suspension arms over the next few days, in an effort to cure the creak which has been become something of an obsession! As soon as it's sorted I'll give you the heads up and we'll get something sorted. I'm still considering the breakfast run this weekend, but it's kind of clashing with Mrs S's plans! smash

We've got seven of my Daughter's friends sleeping over the night before and I'm not sure that firing up the TVR at 5am will prove popular, but I haven't ruled it out! biggrin

Best alarm clock in the whole world is a TVR with a V8, the ones that are potential petrol heads will get up and wave you off. The ones that aren't will sleep thro it so win win

Ian, I sent you another PM tonight but I think they're still not functioning. If you contact either Darren or KevF if they've got your number, they'll give you mine.

Just read through this whole thread and thoroughly enjoyed it. Really good insight into luxobarge ownership. I salute you. And want an A8.

Not received my end so I think you are correct in your assumptions - I'll try to contact Darren or you could email me on

(I'll edit it out when you let me know you've sent an email not that the spam bots will pick it up - I think!!)

All suspension noises are now banished! smile
Four new upper and lower rear arms sorted it.

Little bump for this thread as the car is now sat outside my office. I am the new owner, car arrived with me yesterday. Needs a few little jobs doing but no major jobs are immediately obvious. I will update the thread as I go.
