40 from overs, is this normal service resumed? Decent track, no wretched left arm spinning dobblers.

Wham Bam
Indeed. Bleeding pesky subcontinent!

Good Lord they are slow getting through the overs, will be a long evening session today I would think.

Par score so far, we are edging into a good position.

Are they? Morning/afternoon are usually 25ish each aren't they? Factor in they are 2 behind for the innings swap and they're not too far adrift.

23 overs in two hours - 12 an hour - should be at 15 an hour - or it is a match fine.

Can't hear that at work but Bumble annoys the crap out of me if I am honest. He was a good county player who played a few games for England and did a pretty st job of coaching/managing England. He's not fit to lace Mr Holding's boots...

Everyone else in that Sky commentary box has played international cricket with some accomplishment to say the least.

Trott grinding his way to some of the dullest runs every scored. Mr consistency, boring boring boring - strike rate of 37 runs per hundred balls.

Will the lords crowd even be awake to clap his (sadly inevitable) half century - scheduled for sometime around 5pm

GET OUT OF THE WAY, let KP, Prior and Bairstow start entertaining us.

Ok slight improvement - up to 46 s/r with a couple of lucky fours.

The scoring seems to have tailed off somewhat since tea.

Strauss on to 95 with a beautiful drive though smile
