We have an 07 Galaxy Ghia and it has the posher of the cloth trims available on the car, it seems woefully ill equipped to cope with kids, where they have spilt stuff there are water marks, any suggestions as to how to renew the cloth to an even colour, was going to get a VAX and give it a go but dont want to if it makes it worse. They are black seats with white marks on.

I use either a VAX or a Karcher steamer for marks like that. The Karcher might be a better bet. Use a microfibre cloth between the seat and the steam nozzle and you should be fine. You may have to give it a couple of attempts to get all the staining out.

Not sure why a debate about the slightly grotty looking seats in an aging Ford people carier would warrant Popcorn !

Cheaper than a Vax, but I just use Autoglym interior shampoo and a damp sponge then dry it off as much as I can by blotting with an old towel. You have to do the entire section (seat base/back rest) otherwise there tends to be a line where you've stopped. I used to have light grey fabric seats in my previous A4 company car and this method brought them up good as new on a few occasions as I have to put boxes on the back seat and they sometimes are dirty. frown

Leave it until you sell it; those pesky kids will have back to stained in no time!
