wheel centres

i've lost 2 centres for my gotti wheels. (the push in plastic part) anyone have spares, or know where i can get replcements....failed so far to find any

If you can't get hold of any I would recommend the following. Some theifing Chav ran off with one of my wheel centres from my Lotus Europa. I managed to take a mould of an existing one, using some wierd moddling plastic that become malliable in boiling water but you could probably use plaster of paris etc. Make a new one out of fiberglass, spray paint and you really cant tell the difference.

Just have to change the badges, did the same on my Vixen which hasn't got any centres when i purchased it. The rostyle centres match gottis and the classic vixen style wheels very well

Dragging back up this not too old thread, did either of you replace your wheel centres with these then?

I was told when I purchased my gottis that they were MG centre caps, under the TVR badges. They look good on mine.

THe ones I have are plastic not chrome, and they are straight sided and the MG ones are angled.
I have a dodgy one and have a spare but can I find it - no!
Maybe a group buy opportunity to get some new ones as they are non existent.

Just had another look at the Mg Rostyle ones and they have a centre cover which is added where I'm sue mone are a TVR logo under a resin coat and not stuck on.

I have stickers on mine for sure FFG
It was finding some Leven replacement stickers I bought last year which got me thinking about the centre caps.
I have all 4 caps but they aren't in great condition.

I did some research last year to see if there was an alternative. The nearest match was indeed the MGB GT one ( Chrome). Most of the lugs had broken off on mine. Also the TVR logo in the centre of mine ( could be faded) looked purple.

Mine are the same as these. I have 3 decent ones and one with a couple of lugs missing.

Anyone tried the MG cap?

I have three caps with two lugs on them, and a TVR S cut down one rapped in tape to fit . The only other alternative is to fit Imola wheel caps that i had seen on another Griff. Although they looked flush to the centre of the wheel, If that makes sense.

They look a bit on the tall side but what a fantastic job.

I have the same centres as FFG
I wonder if he would make some to our spec - it can't be that much different can it?

I also wonder if he could make them so a big O ring or similar goes on the back to keep them in place. I don't like the idea of pressing those ali tabs into my paintwork.

He hasn't finished developing them yet though so I will certainly watch what his final solution is with some interest.

I've got a spare front and rear both with centres. I've tried to get one out and its impossible. The only solution I can think of is something akin to pair of pliers with 2 halves with 2 semi circles that squeeze the lug enough to release them. I'm no engineer but know what I think would work.
These need to be removed every time you change a tyre so cant believe anyone still has any left.
