Breakdown Recovery
Discussion
Hope I'm answering with the sort of info you want to know and aren't off on a tangent. I've been with the RAC for years. Haven't needed to use the recovery since I had a Citroen though. Response time was in the 30-45 minute range which is fine and car was hoisted away without damage.
I believe some people have had problems with Green Flag.
The AA Relay service because its exactly that. You get picked up, dragged off to their nearest regional centre, off-loaded, re-loaded onto another wagon, despatched to the next reional centre, off-loaded, re-loaded.... until you finally arrive home some time in the middle of next week.

We now use the RAC, they seem really good. Keith had to request their help on the Isle of Man as our battery went flat (?) response time 20 mins. Would not use Green Flag after our experience with the 94 vette, breakdown in France + Green Flag = wrecked engine (finally resolved by them paying for a new crate motor) but it took a year to resolve!-
