Nope, you'll be fine.

I've carried (and vaped) on over 200 flights, with the largest issue being a quick "what's that?" from security guys (only in countries that haven't seen a growth in vaping). Never a problem.

Thanks I've checked their web-site and it says you can take them in either hand or hold luggage, but every time I seem to use it I get questioned about what it is. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

The one you want is the Aspire CF VV+ 1000mah battery, that's the one that comes in the kit.

Im going to place an order from this Ebay seller for £23.99 free delivery. 7953 with 99.9% feedback
When you choose the battery size in the drop down box the picture changes so you can see what each size looks like.

Yep, that looks like the one. Only trouble now is finding one in black. Such a shame they don't do the 1600 version with that fitting.

I'd also make sure it's charged like any other battery device these days.

Anyone thinking of a box mod, I can highly reccomend the Hana clone using the evolv DNA30 chip wink This thing is mind blowing!

First attempt at building with a Tobh 1:1 clone atty, dual microcoils (0.3mm Kanthal A1) coming in at 1 ohm. Used cellucotton rayon wick for the 1st time in this as well.

There's no way i'll get away with vaping this at the desk, huge plumes at 20 watts biggrin Great flavour as well, well happy!! smile

Is that the FT one? Any problems with it?

Just had a battery vent on me! Scary stuff!!!!

Button got red hot within a couple seconds then made a whooshing sound out the button! Looks like this Efest 35a is cooked (was still warm after 6/7 mins out the mod) I'll get a Sony vtc5 to try instead. Wasn't even a low ohm build either, just 1.2ohms in the Taifun.

Some of these mods don't have any vent holes in the body and seem to vent through the button.....scared the st out of me!

No mate. The box was from Fasttech (£12) but that's all. It has the genuine evolv DNA30 chip and evolv micro usb charger. I also had it built with an OCD 510 connector (which is better than the stty 510's the FT's come with). I was pointed to an FB group page where there is a chap who builds loads of these things, cost me £20 to have built and it's a very tidy build. Total cost was around £100. And it's superb smile

My Mini Nautilus and CF VV arrived today. I'm a bit disappointed with the look of the two together; the CF VV looks like it was designed for a different tank.

However, I'm loving the BVC. Way better than the BDC on my 5ml Nautilus. I'm going to try the BVC on that too.

Sounds good! I know the full FT jobbie has had mixed reviews (put me off getting one tbh) but good to hear there's other options available.

Never really been a fan of the Nautilus looks and prefer a normal looking tank (Aerotank/Kayfun/Taifun type)

Really tempted with this especially with the BVC coil fitted smile

Why were you disappointed with how it looked? There are pictures posted on this thread from 13th August to show how they look together.
I even posted a pic on Saturday to show how it looked in the hand, both show the tank is slightly larger than the battery.

I must admit if I had held in my hand some of the vaping things that I have bought I might not have purchased them. You think big battery, big tank that should last all day but in reality a big battery mod and a big tank is heavy and unwieldy to use and you feel self conscious using them.

If you really don't like the Mini Nautilus and CF VV combo ill buy it off you. A spare tank with a different flavour would be great to carry around and obviously a back up battery is a must.

I'm going way tomorrow and just wondered if anyone has any problems taking e-cigs on a flight. I have an Aspire Nautilus and yes it looks like a metal sonic dildo. Also I'm going to take two bottles of juice both 20ml each. I know they are under the liquid limit to take in hand luggage but just wondered if anyone has had any issues?
Ive had no issues at security just liquids in the clear bag etc. Although my clearomiser didn't like the pressure changes and leaked - fortunately just in a pocket in my carry on. Enjoy the trip!

Loving the Mini Nautilus. Mine setup doesn't quite look like that. I have the 1600mAh CF VV and the shaft (oo er missus!) is the same diameter, but the neck is narrower. I have had to use the collar from the Mini and while it fits perfectly, it creates a narrower "neck" between the tank and the battery.

Got it. I think the bigger batteries i.e. the 1600mah are a bit fatter and don't have the same collar as the smaller 1000mah batteries.

I wish there were more vape shops around so you could look and hold stuff in your hand before you bought it. Im almost tempted to set one up but I know nothing about rebuildables, mods, building coils etc. I could stock starter kits, juice, maybe do a franchise thing with http://www.ukecigstore.com/ open a store and refer the more high end stuff to the head office.

Hence my queries earlier up the page. Seems it's only the 1000mah battery than has the straight collar which is a shame. Gonna buy one anyway a soon as I can find a black one in stock somewhere

How does the mini vape? That's my next one but will need the stainless tank as I'm so clumsy it's unreal!!
Hi all,

Thanks for all the guidance!

I've pulled the trigger, pressed the button and wedgied the bouncer on a dark wooden bowl Kamry K1000. Should turn up tomorrow hopefully!

Tried a BVC coil in my 5ml Nautilus last night. Seemed lacking in flavour compared to the same coil, voltage and juice* in the Mini. I think I'm going to stick with the Mini.

  • 1.8ohm BVC, 4.0V, 18mg 60/40 Snake Oil.
