I saw that, a somewhat biased piece I felt. All the evidence points to it being massively better than smoking yet the presenter seemed to want to put a negative spin on it still.

Yeh, but he did close with positivity.

I'm under no illusion that vaping is worse for me than not vaping; however, in the 3/4 years that I have been doing it (and not smoking) I've noticed the amount of colds/lung infections that I used to suffer reduce to almost nothing. I think I've had maybe 3 colds, and they go in about 3-4 days, rather than me getting a cold every other month (it felt like) and it hanging around for weeks. Anecdotal evidence at best, sure. However, I do not feel as unhealthy.

When people ask me about it, telling them that vaping is healthy is perhaps a misnomer; I prefer to say that it is less unhealthy than smoking.

Got to be honest here and it's ok but not fantastic like I thought it would be.

Not saying I'm disappointed as it's still pretty good, the tank is excellent quality, but I'm actually getting a better vape with the full sized nautilus & BVC head. And both get beaten hands down for flavour by the nautilus mini/BVC. Not what I was expecting.....

Maybe it's the juice I'm using but was expecting much more and closer to an RBA. Saying that I've been using the same juice in the nautilus mini all week it's been lovely (LiQua Cola) tons & tons of flavour and plenty of vapour with some VG added to the mix.

I've been swapping these different sized Silo drip tips between tanks and I can definitely feel the difference in flavour with the smaller one. But it gets waay too hot to chain vape, fine with the large one though. I'll try some different juice this week and report back! But right now it's a bit.....meh frown

My Vamo's also thrown a wobbly so that's not helping! The 510 threads have gone but will bodge/fix that tomorrow with some wire crimpers wink

just sorting out the eLeaf...

Getting it from innovapours, they have some still in stock if you don't mind black one...
http://www.vaperus.ie/starter-vaping-kits/579-istick-full-kit.html

They have it in Black, Blue and red/pink for the full kit.

http://www.vaperus.ie/starter-vaping-kits/571-isti...
Or black, blue and silver without the charger if you already have a micro USB charger. Its where I bought mine.
Just to add...

The link I gave before is for the full kit and they give you a EURO to UK plug adapter.

Thus if you use my link and the October 10% off, including the free delivery its cheaper than vaperus.

Just thought I would update people wanting one.

Plus to add... the thing is awesome!!

Technology seems to be moving on way to fast for my liking... I can't keep up.

Glad you're getting on with your iStick, I ordered mine on Monday after reading about it on here. It's just what I've been after since my eVic died a death a couple of weeks ago and I've had to bring my Provari into work, which isn't ideal.

My first was an eVic and just deciding what to do with it.

its now going to be relegated to 3rd choice as I have iStick and CF VV as one and two, so should never really need to use it again... shame, but its done me well.

How long have you had your eVic? I ask because mine only lasted a few months. I like the look of the iStick as it's nice and compact so you can take it out with you and has a mega battery on, you don't normally get both of those on the same mod.

Had the eVic since May when I gave up.

It works quite well, but the new mods out there are blowing it out of the water for the amount of vapour it can produce, always sounds to be bubbling when I use it, yet I switch to another mod like the CF VV and its a lot quieter and all I have done is move the tank across.

Still lots of life in it, though it has a nasty habit of turning its self off/sleep mode every now and again when using it.

Batteries last forever.

Last summer I managed to stop smoking after using skycigs ... then met my current girlfriend who smokes and i buckled and started up again.

Had a chat with the missus yesterday and we are quitting together now, so i have just ordered some of these

http://www.blucigs.co.uk/starter-offer

Skycig have rebranded as blucig now, but i remember them being the best of the bunch at the time.

I dont want something clumsy and big, even though i know the vapes give a better hit.

The kit is £10 now which seems good value

I recommend you go to a vaping store than waste money on that crap... test out their stock and juice.

It doesn't need to be clumsy/big, it depends on the model you eventually settle for.

look at starter kits they are not much more than the £10 you are spending and so much better:

This... this... and soooo many times this! I know the appeal of the cig-alikes is strong when making the move across but honestly until you try something better you won't know what you are missing out on.

that's interesting chaps, thanks the advice.

i've ordered the blucigs which will arrive tomorrow so will batter through those cartrdiges first and instead of buying refills will look into the vapes you suggest.

as it happens there's a vape shop opened up on my high street, but im going away tomorrow and wont have time to go in there for the next week or two.

the blucigs should see me through until then, and it's only £10, so no real loss if it goes in the bin

I and many others started off on skycigs when they were out the first time round... I couldn't get the hit I wanted and decided to go back to cigs.

In May I spent time on this thread and read through a lot of advice and took the plunge with a mod... the difference was like night and day.

To put it this way, I spent the evening having my last pack of cigs at a wedding, then when I ran out of those I reluctantly tried the e-cig... not touched them since, even though I was quite drunk at the time I noticed the difference straight away between those and the skycigs I had tried all those months ago.

Just about to order a proper vaper to replace the blucigs i bought in haste.

It's all new to me and quite confusing as there is so much available!

Is the common consensus to get the eleaf iStick?

I use an iclear30s which is fine.

I get it now smile

so the istick is like a 2 litre low compression engine and the tank atomiser is like a garrett gt28 turbo.

should give enough grunt to keep me happy without breaking the bank.

I've had one for a fortnight now and, while I know far less than many of the regular posters on here, I think it's very hard to beat when it comes to price, performance and ease of use. I'm using mine with an Aspire Mini Nautilus and they work very well together.

If you get eleaf stick you will need to get the following:

http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/p...
£34.99

Some type of tank (I prefer the kanger aerotank or the Aspire Nautilus mini):

Aspire:
http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/p...
£19.99
Spare coils:
http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/p...
£10 (get at least 5)

Kanger:
http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/p...
£18.99
Spare Coils:
http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/p...
£10 (get at least 5)

(looks like it would need to be aspire as kanger is out of stock)

Then choose some juice, this is personal opinion, but if you like a throat hit choose one with a higher PG value, if you want vapour choose a higher VG rating.

I usual go for 70VG/30PG and its fine.

If you are a medium smoker (15-20 a day) look at 11mg nicotine level to start.

Choose a few random flavours you want to try or stick with baccy flavour its your choice, depending on use the 10ml will last a few days (2ml is usually 1-2 days use)... but that is dependant on how much you will vape it now.

Then use the voucher code UKV10 for 10% off everything, but that runs out today.

The above will give you a superb first kit that you will learn from and won't need to upgrade from blucig or a start kit when you find out that it needs more power... etc.

Im sure others can back me up with the above choices.
