I have taken the next step, for me it is all about the habit.

Today I changed from a standard Kanger / E-cig that looked like a large black cigarette to a iStick battery and a bigger tank.
I suppose for me it looks nothing like a ciggy now and a bit nearer to quitting for good.

I have not had a real smoke since 17th November when I picked up the original e-cig I have just changed so hopefully I am doing something right.
Not had a fag for over a year, on my second go at stopping vaping now. I'm over a week nicotine free and it's definitely easier to stop vaping than it is smoking.

I went a bit nuts and bought loads of spares and liquids with the idea that if I spent a decent wad I'd be more inclined to stick to it.

Fingers crossed it works, the big test will be when I'm out on the beer as that's when I crave a smoke the most!
You did the right thing. When I started I got some good recommendations from this thread. I bought 2 batteries, 6 clearomisers and loads of different liquids. Cost was similar to what you paid. Worked for me and 6 months later I've not smoked a single cigarette.

I am really happy with my runt for £40, its the little one on the right below (cover off to show the Aspire K1). Really nice and stealthy.

I want to carry a spare K1 with a different flavour. A friends parents wanted to have a go at vaping but like most people didn't want to shell out on a kit that may not work for them or they might find vaping is not for them. I purchased the Aspire K1 starter kit for £29.75 http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/Deluxe-Vaping-Kits/Asp... and lent it to them. If it does not work out ill take it back, great back up battery, spare coils and second charger to leave at work

Got them some 50VG/50PG Benson Fenses tobacco flavour in 18mg strength from Paradicevape. They loved it and will be heading out to a vape shop to discuss juices etc. So looks like I will have to buy the kit again for me, but glad to get someone on the road to vaping.

I went for Dipstick, Apple Bobbin, Tart's Tipple, Boiler Watter and Little Moscow.
I have now tried Dipstick, its proper old school sherbet dip. The one you got in the yellow and red tube with the stick of liquorish but without the liquorish flavour. Also a bit like love hearts sweets.

There is nothing wrong with it and I will finish the bottle but its not one I will buy again.

I've tried all of them now except Tart's Tipple, and they're all pleasant and interesting - but I keep going back to the Boiler Watter. It's definitely got something about it. Dipstick has a great aroma, but at least in my equipment it tastes a bit thin. Which is a bit weird, because the real "taste" is smell, but there we have it.

Definitely going to re-order Boiler Watter. I have already got a 30ml bottle of Apple Bobbin.

Still need to try The Governess and Tarts Nipple.

I passed on a half bottle of Boggart's Breath to someone at work as I did not like it, he loves it. I supposed its all down to personal taste.

Running an istick and K1 and I've just swapped the coil for the first of a new batch of BDCs purchased via amazon. I assume I was running BVCs before or whatever came with my original Aspire kit.

The draw seems very tight - is this normal? Distinctly less flavour as a result and not that impressed at the minute.

Take the new head out, and you will see a small metal plug in the bottom end. This can sometimes get pushed to much into the rubber bung it sits in and this can reduce the air flow. Just try pulling it out a bit, with your finger nail and give it a try.

er.....I think you have gone from a newer (i.e. better) coil (BVC) to an older (i.e. worse) coil (BDC)

I appreciate that. I bought them hastily without checking and didn't realise there were 2 types of that style of coil. If its the case that the BDCs are worse insofar as the draw and flavour is concerned I can bin them and buy a new batch of BVC's. I just wondered if I was doing something different or wrong.

Very personal I know, but found it too one dimensional and a bit harsh, a bit like ciff lemon cream ...I mix it with Apple bobbin to soften it a bit. The Governess I like, it's similar but a bit more subtle and complex IMHO.

Phil, not sure if your eyes are up to it, but BVC and I assume BDC is etched on the coil side, have a check....hehe

Recent purchase...

Sigelei Mini 30watt box. Loving this. Compact and very well built. Runs on single 18650 battery with a magnetic battery cover. SO much easier then screws. I'm flogging my Hana Modz DNA30 as the sigelei is just as good.

Haven't had the Kanger Mini Subtank off since getting it over a month ago. Brilliant tank. The rba head is a doddle to build, or if you feel brave then rebuilding the OCC heads is easy and effective. Seriously haven't used another tank and only drip on an evening at home.

Had a sample pack of juices from Vapours Oven, good mix of flavours and I've tried a few now which have all been very good. Key lime pie and lemon and lime have been excellent. 15 x 10mls sample for £48 which is very reasonable for 150mls juice.

So who or what are the Lancashire steam company?

Also it's obvious this e juice market is a huge growing market, who are the stand out premium independents ? The ones bringing technical expertise and no holds barred quality products?

Already the companies like dekang are mass producing empires, whst and where is the connoisseur shopping?

There was mention earlier in the thread that Aspire had changed the BVC coil, bought some new ones today and they are slightly different. The wicking holes are bigger, not sure if the cotton has changed but it capes fine to me. See picture below;

Is caping where you blow out some pretend smoke then duck under it and emerge in your underpants pretending to be a superhero?
