Hi,

got myself some poorboys black hole and very pleased with the results.

currently i have been using turtle wax extra gloss sealer wax for a final coat. what would give a better result, i also want a degree of longevity in the protection. and would prefer not to spend loads.

thanks very much.

If you want a wax/paste product then:

Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid 100ml
FinishKare 1000P
Collinite 476S

Not sure about the Dodo Juice, it is next on my purchase list, but
both FK1000P and the 476 should give 6 Months protection on clay/clean paintwork.

Are you using the Blackhole for its filling ability or as a glaze with fillers?

Bilt-Hamber Cleaner then follow with Bilt-Hamber Finis Wax, you should get lots of filling (hide the swirls) and have at least 6 months protection from 2 layers with the wax.

(I sell some products, Bilt-Hamber isnt one of them ;-) )

thanks for the replies.

the paint is pretty good anyway, so the black hole's work is not really cut out filling as such.

i wanted a sealant that provides protection and a decent shine.

Most (if not all) waxes contain sealants in one form or another.

Its normally sealant then Black Hole, sealants need to bond to clean paint.

Nanolex, Wolfs, Gtechniq etc (I prefer nanolex) for true sealants, for less fiddly try Optimum (for a wipe on walk away product) Auto Finesse with a few others.

I use Duragloss via DA topped with a wax, get around 5-6 months on a daily.

Research is the way forward.

iirc it said on the bottle to use a sealant after polishing.

I don't use BlackHole because of its fillers so am not 100% on it.

If it is saying sealant then it probably means PoorBoys Ex-P sealant rather than the silica based sealants.

So its either top with a wax, PoorBoys sealant, Duragloss or Zaino.

Sorry I can't be more help, but as said I don't use Black Hole.
