Hi all,

I'm fed up of cheap 2T jacks breaking on me so I want a slightly larger/lower jack which will last me a bit longer. Needs to have a big rubber pad too ideally.

Any ideas of where I can get a good one either by mail order or from a shop?

Cheers

Costco do a really good 3ton jack for around £85.

Works just fine on our Disco 3, proper study bit of kit.

Another + for the costco one.
Lifts the rangie like it isn't there and goes under the 21.
It is very big and very heavy but the handle does come apart so you can us it in slightly more restricted areas.
Well worth the money.

No it does cost think it was £30 a year for me and the other half. But that jack is great can lift a Landrover but low enough to use on my Westfield.

I'm thinking about this if I'm going to have to pay to join Costco..

A lot lighter than a normal jack, but will it stand up to home use? Says its designed for motorsport (presumably not being thrown around my drive)

I'm sure these are the same ones as in Machine Mart (Sealey so very likely). My mate runs a garage, and has a couple of these, been using them daily for 3 years without issues.

Just realised its only 1.25 tonne, thought it was cheap!

Would be fine for the Fiesta, but not sure about the E39 or 80!

You won't have the whole weight of the car on the jack. (unless you jack in the centre and are good at balancing)

Long and thick, half of which is padded. To be honest I only use the bottom (padded) half.

Yes they are, though almost £30 cheaper because it's not Demon tweeks - http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/...
