How much does a 6.75 lump from a Turbo R weigh, less inlet manifold, starter, alternator and exhaust gubbins....

Just roughly?

Cheers

It's all alloy isn't it? So should be somewhere about 200kg; heavy but nothing like an iron block V8.

200 kg seems light to me. The whole car weighs 2.5 tonnes, so I'd guess the cylinder heads, engine body complete with crank and pistons, and gearbox would be nearer 800 kg - this leaves 1.7 tonnes for car body, transmission, upholstery and so forth, which seems more realistic.
Wishing you a great week end of motoring,
David.

Even lardy american slush boxes only weigh 70-80kg. Cast iron big blocks are reported as ~350kg, so the RR engine with alloy heads and block can't be much more than 250kg, especially with all the plumbing and gubbins removed.
