If I was after a Ferrari 550, I would buy that one.

I wouldn't. Any other 100k 550? maybe. However, he's asking silly money for a car that will be near impossible to sell, and his advert makes him sound like a complete arse.

I'd buy it on the quality of waffle on the ad alone!

That's nothing. His mate has completed 100k miles in an F40 at an average of 158mph. fk me, I'd like to own his local petrol station.

Comical.

People really go around replacing clutches out of curiosity don't they.

This is a real fail an attempt at giving an aura of "ridiculous wealth" in the advert.

''Maintained to aircraft standards and always warmed up properly, it has only ever been driven smoothly by myself, a Police trained Class 1 advanced driver''

really? aircraft standards... bs

''a Police trained Class 1 advanced driver'' what relevance does this have to the price of rice in china?

If only that guy new what aircraft standards were though!

I really doubt he was going around analysing the metal for stress, and taking apart the engine checking for odd wear!

At least we know it'll have been driven quickly then! Though I've never known a traffic cop who was not fanatical about looking after his car. Who knows if he is/was a police driver though.

Still, the advert is well written and I love the 550/575M. My favourite Ferraris, easily. It seems very expensive, but then the miles wouldn't concern me unduly.

Its a well written advert and a lot of what he says is true in regards to mileage etc. unfortunately I'm not an expert on Ferrari's so I can't say whether or not what he claims is correct but based on the advert if I were in the market for a Ferrari I would definitely be tempted!

I would. 100,000 miles has never meant anything bad outside of resale value on any car thats been looked after properly. It's just a number that the car doesn't know about, a 15,000 mileage example could be in worse condition.

I would buy it , not worried about the mileage ...however i was surprised at the price , not too far off lesser mileage examples.

The way I see it, it's been reliable enough to do that mileage, if it wasn't it wouldn't be near that mileage.

Whether that's just my own train of thought or even correct I don't know but I would!

As per Vixpy's post, not for £38k. No matter how well it's been looked after, or who handed it over, once the cheque had cleared, it will still be bugger to sell on.

I'd rather but that than one that has a tiny amount of miles on it.

Sure it's a lot but it's probably all the better for actually being driven rather than standing there or getting the occasional run to the shops at 30mph.
