Bit boring this I'm afraid chaps, but my trusty V40 is soon to be needing new boots. I've had a look at event-mobile (my preferred supplier) and in my ideal budget/performance range (£65-75/tyre) there are the following available in the required 195/55/15:
FALKEN ZIEX ZE912 KUMHO KU31 TOYO PROXES T1-R FULDA CARAT PROGRESSO HANKOOK K425 KINERGY COOPER ZEON CS6 AVON ZV3 GENERAL ALTIMAX HPBF GOODRICH G-GRIP
Or I could pay a couple of quid more per tyre for Uniroyal Rainexperts.
Does anyone have any experience of the above, or any recommendations? I'm tempted by the Toyo's (they're £67/corner), but my impression of them (rightly or wrongly) is they're a more performance-car biased tyre. I.e. it would seem somewhat inappropriate or incongruous on a 1.8 estate! Or is that just silliness?
The car does tiny mileage and is mostly driven gently so wear-rate is not really a factor.
Cheers!

I had the Falkens on mine and was happy with them.
Both grip and wear rate seemed good to me.
