Hi all, bear with me 'cos it's my first post.....but just wondered if any of you have seen the Motoring supplement of The Daily Telegraph today. It has a VERY favourable test report of the new C6 and a snippet of info about the Top Gear test ( they predictably knacked it!!!!). Also, murmours of a rhd C6 !
You could look at telegraph online motoring link, but you have to register first. Cheers, Jonscaz

The biggest image problem the Corvette has in the UK is that Jezza hates them so its an uphill struggle and so we're not exactly waiting for tomorrow's TG with bated breath ! The magazines quite liked the C5 when it came out but witless marketing from GM UK only provided automatics so it rather faded quietly into background, can't help wondering if they'll make the same mistake again.

If you have a look through the other threads here you'll see a variety of opinions of the C6. Its not an instant winner on its looks...

If you havn't read the Telegraph article it says that "as a result of their (top gear's) antics the car went back to the workshop with a stripped clutch, 4 bald tyres and damaged bodywork". enough said !!!!!!!

Wonder if it was driven by the same TG researcher that drove mine ? The one that tried to drive off in 5th gear because he thought American manual gearboxes "worked the other way round" and therfore 1st must be over there ! He really did deserve the simlie !

jonscaz: You should drive a C5 before you even consider a C6. I've read pretty much everything regarding the engineering behind the C6 that I have found, and really, the underlying engineering of the C6 is very VERY similar to the C5.

The difference being that the C5 is miles better looking, and once the C6 hits (for a while at least) will be much cheaper. Do yourself a favour and buy a C5 - particularly the Z06, which also has a bit more power than the C6...
