Have to say that once you've started making your own pizzas from scratch, dough, tomato sauce etc you don't go back unless you're feeling particularly idle.

Have to look at that pizza oven thing. Maybe Saturday's chorizo, pork meatballs and black pudding combo will be even better. Edited to say there was smoked streaky bacon too, everything is better with bacon.

Used my Weber pizza oven for the first time at the weekend with some home made dough (also a first). Oh my god!!! It's amazing! Never had pizza that tasted so good.

Got it a bit hot towards the end and burnt the bottom on a couple but they still tasted fantastic. Took some pics but can't post them on my mobile.
Where did you get it from please ?
Not sure where mine came from, it was a Christmas present. Riverside have them for £119 at the moment though.

Thanks - hadn't really looked at those.

I've been trying to use a pizza stone, on my Weber but I can't get it hot enough - the bottom cooks OK, but not the top. I can see by looking at that one the lid is much closer and that should keep the heat in better.

Only works on the 57" and I've got the smaller one frown

Took delivery of one of these this week.

However, SWMBO has insisted I wait until we've moved into our new house before unpacking and assembling it. Something about being easier to move when it's in a box.

Oooh, an outdoor gas oven. Nice.

Except that 'summer' will almost certainly be over by then.

Get it built - it's easier to ask for forgiveness! thumbup

The frame on my 8 year old Weber Performer Deluxe has succumbed to rust (2 legs just above the wheels have crumbled to nothing!)

So I'm going to unbolt the BBQ and table and make a bespoke hardwood frame to attach it to.

Yep, service from them is very good and they seem to take a real interest in the products they're selling.

After my grey cover died from 2 winters I've got the black premium one and it does seem a lot better.

Mine did that 3 years ago.

It's been outside without a cover ever since without a problem.

Same thing has happened to mine, only at 18 months old. Equally not impressed. I have another 20-odd year old Weber which has been sat outside with no adverse affects though (apart from the (untreated) wood handles deteriorating). Mind you, seems wrong to leave my shiny One Touch Premium out in the elements...

Yep. The premium covers do seem worth the... er... premium.

I think my heavy duty cover has been 5 years and it's fine. Immaculate still

Bought the heavy duty one, not that good. Waste of loot in my opinion.

My premium cover has been on all winter outside and still looks brand new. Looks like you were cheap and paid the price smile
