Right well seeing as a loan is out of the question for the forseable future and I really need to change the car before it costs me anymore significant amounts of money. The next thing to be looking at is a credit card. Now I know Sticking £1500 straight on a card probably isnt the best of ideas, but if it gets me out of this car then it's going to have to be done. If im honest im clueless when it comes to stuff like this. Whats going to best to look at? What features do I want apart from the lowest interest rate possible. Anybody got some better suggestions? Thanks for any serious sugestions

Interest free period on purchases not balance transfers no monthly or annual fee
TBH though if a loan is out of the question a credit card will also probably also be out of the question as the credit score requirements will be similar

Why would anyone buy a car using a credit card, paying high interest rates when there are plenty of cheap reliable cars around.

Because I want to get something decent/tidy thats going to last a while & also ill be sticking the difference in insurance on it. It's not going to be long term, hopefully should clear it by the end of the summer.

Fair enough but i've had a saab 9-5 bought for £700 gone thru two mot's with nothing needing to be done. Cruise, air con, leather heated/cooled seats etc, don't get into debt over a car, somebody will always have something better. I hope this doesn't come over to preachy but a friend has spent thousands on cars, lost his job and the money he's blown on cars would of come in useful now.

Im not talking stupid money on cars would be around £750 on the car, and £750 on insurance. Im not trying to be stupid but i need to be realistic as well if i keep my current one its going to end up costing me my job when it keeps breaking down just before i leave for work in the morning.

It's fairly apparent he's not doing it to beat the neighbours, though. £1500, including the difference in insurance, puts him in the same category of car as you're recommending.
