Stefan, are you going to speak to your dealer about this ? All cars I have seen are 4 or 5mm out at that point. The huge plastic sill is clearly too short.

Interesting, had not noticed that. The other side (in other photos I have) seems fine, so it is just the pax side. I'll take a closer look tomorrow.

If they are all like that, then it has to be something in the manufacturing process. Intriguing.

One thing I have found is that the locking wheel nut adaptor is made of cheese. Just as with the one on my Cayman R (also 2012) which snapped after two uses. Apparently Porsche are aware of the batch issue.

Cheers

Love that colour.

Personally would have gone with black seats and red stitching but that's just me! smile

Mine appears to be OK on both sides, so they're not all short.

Why red stitching? Blue with red highlights seems odd to me. Personal taste accepted smile

OP - if you're still reading these and still have the car, how's that leather holding up? I'm about two weeks away from a Cayman with the same interior and my excitement is slightly tinged with worry that I've bitten off more than I can chew with the upkeep on the pebble full leather.

My detailer put that stuff on the seats of a Benz of mine once - it made the leather all shiny. I complained and it took him a full day to get it off.

I've got Agate over Pebble trim in a Boxster and I use Lexol or Leatherique on it regularly to keep it tidy. One year on and it is looking brand new. Mind you, only low miles so far - wife's car and she never uses it. rolleyes

For those tempted by the lovely combo of Agate dash and door tops and Pebble seats, it is worth remembering that you can factory order deviating carpet (and mats) in Agate for easier maintenance.

Wish I'd known that! I wanted Agate dash and door tops and Pebble seats but didn't like idea of light coloured carpets so I went for all black interior! bugger LOL

I wouldn't worry too much. There are days when I wish my interior was all black! smile
