Vixen Interior Light

Hi All,
Moto,s thread on seat belts got me thinking about interior bits and bobs.
When I acquired the car many moons ago, this was the courtesy light that was fitted(it actually worked sometimes





The lens has IKI JAPAN embossed on it.
So, Is this a original fitting? What car could it be off(apart from mine)

This is what's left of the original interior light of a late 1971 Tuscan V6 .... the lens was broken wheeling the spare in/out between the seats many years ago.

Mine was like Moulag's ALSO with a broken lens.....

I can't remeber where I got a near match, although all plastic - i think it was from a Dolomite but might have been a Granada mk 2 Ghia rear one.... anyway, it's roughly the same size and style, but grey plastic.

I have the same fitting as Moulag, MGB cover seemed to fit.

Does anyone know the original source of these interior lights. They seem to be OE for the Series one Vixen las well.

I thought we had some more recent discussions on these lights with a picture of the complete item, but it appears to have vanished......

The longer one in Mike's photo looks like the one I had in my Vixen S2, never seen the squarish one originally posted.

Diverting the topic slightly, does anyone know of a source for the Brycrest one in the 3000S?

I have been through literally thousands of pictures of interior lights without success, so I hope some one has some idea what they are!

I have just sent one to Andrew today. Ask him....he will post you a picture.

Sorry, I do not know. I was lucky enough to find a few at Beaulieu a fees years back, but have not seen any since. I suspect they are from a lorry, tractor, etc. Have not seen them in a car except TVR.

My only lead is, and this is rather geeky, they are probably from a US manufacturer, because they use the term "provisional patent" these are only found in the US.

I guess I will have to visit a lot of auto jumbles!
