Just watching BBC 1 with the Documentary of Gary Barlow and the commission for him to write the Queens Jubilee Song ....! I can see what's coming in the near Future.....! But hey " Take That" Robbie mite be seeking one next.....!

Since he came back with Take That and has had all this exposure I have a new found level of respect for him, he comes across as being very smart and down to earth. I watched his interview with Zane Lowe and found it very interesting, he said he worked in social clubs when he was only 11.

Watching what Barlow achieved and how he did it was actually very inspiring, great song too. Great performance at the concert as well, rise Sir Gaz rise

OK, he wrote a song that was a hit.
So have many other people:
Amy McDonald has sold more in Europe than Gary Barlow et all have.
Amy Winehouse did too
So did Brian Ferry
I don't see why he should gat a knighthood - maybe an MBE, but I don't think he deserves much more than that

I don't see why he should gat a knighthood - maybe an MBE, but I don't think he deserves much more than that I think you might find that he has written a fair few songs and is worth a fortune More than many of us realise. Whether deserving of a knighthood is a different matter entirely but I don't know enough about his charity work to comment on that

Let's not forget that without the huge army of talent spotters and travel arrangers who actually discovered the singers for him - he only turned up and "recorded" some sampling, then let the music editors do the real mixing work.
Not that I deny he did some good work, but to me he's less worthy of an MBE than the entire crews of the RNLI.
