June 2012 Photo Challenge - In Motion - entries thread
Discussion
Hello all,
This months competition theme is "In Motion" be it water, wildlife, cars, people or anything else!
Rules
The photos taken must be your own work
The shot MUST be taken this month, with the closing date being midnight on the last day of the Challenge month
The exif must be posted with your shot
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
The Challenge for next month should be generic, as not everyone has access to zoom, macro, specialist lenses. It should be shots that everyone is capable of achieving with the bare essentials.
There will be two threads that need starting: The Entries thread to commence same time as Discussion thread. In the Entries thread only one picture should be entered. Any others you wish to discuss should be posted in the Discussion thread.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo.
Enjoy!
ETA: i realise i've called this the compeition, when it should be the challenge. I have reported myself to the moderators who will hopefully change the title

Wow some great shots this month guys, top work from everyone it was really tough judging it!
3rd and 2nd were difficult to set apart, with one being (in my opinion) technically more difficult to achieve and the other being more aesthetically pleasing.
In the end i chose RobbieKB's shot for third place, which i reckon would be very difficult to achieve. It's tack sharp with perfect blur in the wings.
So over to you gary71!

Aesthetics won over for 2nd place with Robdickinsons excellent shot. I love the movement in the water and the feeling of it rushing towards you.RobDickinson said:

I knew I was grasping at straws but I wasn't prepared to try and provoke a strike to get a photo which really fitted the theme! Thanks for the mention anyway.
