I have been openly critical of Koenigsegg’s early cars, I still think the quality was poor and the drivability of the cars a little odd. But I have also said that over the year’s things having improved greatly and that they now produce a very high quality product. I am still not 100% in tune with the current exterior styling but I do really like the current interiors.

Anyway Driven have produced another one of their excellent video's coming off the back of their Pagani factory visit, this time they visit the Koenigsegg factory. And I have to say the company appear’s to be doing a great job and showing a lot of innovation. The cars quality now looks excellent and you can’t argue with the cars performance figures.

So if you have a spare 30 mins give this a watch, it’s well worth it. This is the sort of positive publicity Koenigsegg needs to compete in the PR war with Pagani. Good luck too them I say

Fantastic video and thanks for posting. I loved the whole video but the expression on the passenger's face at 19:20 was something else!! The hindge was pretty good too!
What passion from the owner!

That was great.

Christian is cut from a very different cloth than Horatio. As much as I respect Pagani, my own personality is much more closely aligned with that of Koenigsegg.

And that 24 year old!!! Jammy little...

yes

I've never really understood why Pagani seems to be held in such greater esteem than Koenigsegg; I'd much rather one of these. I consider them fairly equal as cars/companies.

Great video - I love these peak behind the scenes. One of the key differences, apparently, between Horatio and Christian is their focus on statistics. Horatio spends a lot of time talking about passion and such like while Christian presented a bewildering, but impressive, array of numbers. But I guess it is like the McLaren/Ferrari argument and ultimately people will buy what they want. It is great for people to have the choice between many companies and these two included.

+1.

The founder is clearly exceptionally bright and knows and understands every minute detail of the car. Well, if I win EuroMillions I will get one! biggrin

Obviously some reverse engineering. I'm told smaller companies do this all the time to meet Streetrod's exacting levels of quality standard. laugh
