Off to the Manx later in the year and was wondering if any one had any phone numbers for B&Bs in Douglas or Ramsey.
Thankyou

I worked in that place for a year in my youth, I went over to watch the TT and I ended up getting a job etc. It was a self catering place but had a bar and did food if you wanted it.
  • note my youth was around 18 years ago so i cant tell you what its like now,but was in a handy place.

Couldn't get a B&B in Douglas when I was looking a while back, so ended up at Admiral House Hotel - thought it was very good for the money.

ring up the tourist board and enquire about homestay; many regular TT and MGP goers have found amazing places to stay.

IOM tourist information will send you a brochure with hotels, self catering and B&B's.Many do love homestay but you are living with the family that own the house and that is not everyones taste. You will be able to get a homestay list through tourist information as well.

The manx is obviously a lot quieter than the TT
Douglas is quite spread out and so you dont get so much of an atmosphere.
Peel has a few pubs close together centred round the harbour which all get
a good crowd in.Most have live bands playing if thats your thing.
No nightclubs tho if that's what your after.
There is a campsite in the town where quite a few take the bikes in the van
then sleep in the back of the van on the site,£7 per person per night to camp
