Hi all,

Are these any good? They seem like a better option than a complete cover when storing the car outdoors, as I can't be arsed to wash the car every time I get home!
My new Chimp (collecting on Friday -woo!) will be living on the driveway, so I want something practical to keep it waterproof & nice.

If they are good, and you have one to sell, email me - otherwise I'll buy direct from Leven tomorrow.
Anyone know hoe long they take to deliver?

i use a cheaper one I had from ebay (about £40 i think) and seems to work great, mines normally under a car port, but during last couple months it's been outside and the cover is spot on. No doubt the Leven one is better quality but the cheap one fits good, i took the front under the window wipers to stop it flapping around as much

The Leven cover is brilliant. It is custom-made to fit the Chimaera like a glove (unlike more generic solutions) and is of heavyweight material so it doesn't flap in the wind. You may experience slight buffing of the very tops of the doors where the cover can rub in high winds but that's about the only downside I can think of.
Later ones had a little window cut out in them so your tax disc can still be seen with the hood on.

The cover has long tongues front and back, which fit under the bonnet and boot respectively, plus straps that go under the wing mirrors, which makes it very secure and also provides some protection from theft of the cover.

As for sourcing one, I sold mine to a PHer friend a couple of years ago I'm afraid.

What JonRB said. my chimp lives out doors with a Leven cover. It's excellent, worth the extra money IMO.

Going against the flow, but I got a Halfords breathable three layer full cover in medium, and it fits really well, and has two straps that go right under the car to hold it on.

My Leven cover has lost it's boot and bonnet "flaps" and so lifts in the wind ...

... that kind of cover would be superb though!

And very useful it is too! thumbup

I have a full cover which goes on the majority of the time but the hood cover is handy if I'm out and I want to leave the roof off or if I can't quite be arsed with the proper cover.

I have one of these covers and use it when really bad weather is expected or the roof starts to leak due to stitching failure or the waterproofing liquid needs replenishing and I haven't had time to get around to it.
Much much better than an all car cover as it doesn't scratch the paintwork, plus it gives the car a little extra security. The material is pretty tough and it secures to the car very well. No way that sucker is going to blow off !
My only gripe is that on hot days condensation seems to form under the cover for some reason.
